The saying; “Do what you do so well, that they will want to see it again and bring their friends”, often applies to Water for the World (W4W). A recent good example involved one of our partners; Village Economic Empowerment (VEE), when they awarded us a contract to drill a new borehole at Vineyard Church, Hato (House of prayer), in Kiambu County. W4W’s first job for VEE was in September 2019, and involved borehole rehabilitation and upgrading it to solar energy pumping and operation. As always W4W delivered excellent quality and value to the satisfaction of the client.
Work at Vineyard Church, Hato commenced on 4th July 2020 at their site in Kinale, Kiambu County. By the 4th day, W4W’s JN Crew had hit three aquifers at 15 metres, 50 metres and 90 metres. The final borehole yield was 9,000 litres of water per hour. The availability of water will enable Vineyard Church, Hato to engage in commercial farming for cabbages, tomatoes, carrots and other vegetables. The water will also benefit the neighbouring Hato community.
