Finding a valued resource for Kipsing

Sweltering heat, thorny bushes and sandy soils are some of the unique features that greet any visitor to Kipsing village, Isiolo County.

The people in this underserved area require water not only for themselves but also their livestock which has borne the brunt of the debilitating drought affecting most parts of Kenya.

"This was precisely our motivation to go and help the community access good quality water," says Newton Marangu, W4W Kenya’s driller.

After two weeks of experiencing all manner of technical and operational challenges, water finally gushed out of the 220m borehole.

W4W’s mission of serving the most underserved in our communities helps stay committed to the goal.

Special thanks to partners such as the Anglican Development Services who make it happen.
